Well, as I was walking down the hallway at 7:40, one of my girls was trying to get my attention. When I looked at her, she was holding a pack of Valentine's Day cupcake.. Five minutes later, she was in my classroom, handing me the cupcakes.. As confused as I looked, knowing that her birthday was not today, I asked her, "What are cupcakes for?" and of course her sweet reply was, "For Valentine's Day.." (Oh boy, I thought, Valentine's Day is not anytime soon.. one of us has lost track of dates..it must be me...) Then, I had to make sure she knew when Valentine's Day is..so I asked her, "Do you know when Valentine's Day is?" She looked curious but she answered, "Yes.....Next Friday." and then she got quiet, realizing that today was not the day because it is only February 5th. Valentine's Day came early this year.
She insisted to take them back home and bring them back next Friday (hopefully they will not be the same ones because I am pretty sure cupcakes have sell by date...)
All that to say, sometimes our kids do not retell the message to the parents correctly. They twist stories to make them sound right to them.
And there it is...another behind the scene post from room 309!
Hahahaha ! Cute :) Did you guys eat them all?
