Well, a snow day tomorrow...

Well, here is to an unexpected SNOW day in Nashville. It is 36 degrees, and it is only raining. However, Metro decided to cancel school for tomorrow, and I am here...writing another blog that summarized last week of school.

When I am 100 years old...
We celebrated 100th day of school Wednesday (well, it was supposed to be on Thursday..but somehow, we lost track of days, and ended up a day early...ooopsie, 1st year teacher problems)

100 Questions About The World

The best activity of the day was the "100 questions about the world."
I absolutely loved students' curiosity about the world. They are so innocent, and they are so happy in their own world. It made me realize how little it takes to make these little ones cheerful and joyful. They live in simplicity of the world. I wish grown-ups knew how to do that as well, including myself.

Another major points from last week..We begin to study TIME. Well, for some students, it came super easy, and then for some, it was like pulling hair. All that to say, TIME is NOT IMPORTANT to these kids. It doesn't matter much at all. They do not find it meaningful because they live in the moment. Maybe as adults, we should live by children's footsteps.. living in the moment, ignoring the time because time is sometimes our biggest enemy. We often find ourselves not having enough time, not enough time to finish a chore.. not enough time to spend with loved ones..not enough time to make it to an event... with that said, FIND TIME for important people in your live..make it meaningful and special...before it gets away from you!

And here's to the new door decor...Happy Early Valentine's Day!

And I can't forget the sweet letters we wrote to our troops... Valentine's for Troops!

PS. time to book a tropical vacation to Caribbean...Is it June yet?!? :)

  2. 1. In 2 months, June will arrive..excited teacher right here, I must say!
    2. Time is a nonexistent topic in 2nd grade. There is no preference of time (just like there is no personal space!)
    3. THANK YOU :-* you make me blush! :)
